Terms of use.
Using Parcours means accepting what follows. It is short because most of what a longer version would say describes a business this is not: there is nothing to buy, no enterprise agreement, and no payment to dispute.
What an account gets you
A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the programme for your own study, for as long as the service is running. Do not share an account, and do not use another person's.
Parcours is free today. If that changes, existing accounts will be told before it does rather than after.
What the scores mean
No result produced here is an official language test result. Only a TCF Canada or TEF Canada sitting at an approved test centre produces a result Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada will accept. A Parcours band is practice and an indication of readiness. It is not submitted anywhere, it counts for nothing on an application, and it does not predict an official result.
Do not make an irreversible decision — booking, filing, paying a fee — on the strength of a score from this site alone. The full reasoning is on the about page.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or to other people's accounts. Do not scrape the exercise or test banks. Do not use a handle, display name or avatar that impersonates someone, or that is abusive.
Accounts doing any of the above may be suspended or removed. If that happens in error, say so and it will be looked at.
The content
The lessons, explanations and exercises are built partly from open linguistic corpora, several of which carry ShareAlike obligations. Every source and its licence is listed on the credits page, and derivative content inherits the terms recorded there.
The grammar reference is published to be read and linked to. Quote it with attribution; do not republish it wholesale as your own.
TCF and TEF are the marks of their respective owners. Parcours is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to France Éducation international, the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Paris, the Council of Europe, or IRCC.
What is not promised
The service is provided as it is. No guarantee is made that it will be available without interruption, that it is free of errors, that a grammar explanation is correct, or that using it will produce any particular exam result. Where an error is found it will be fixed.
To the extent the law allows, liability for loss arising from use of the service is excluded. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited under the law where you live.
Changes and contact
The date at the top moves when these terms change. Material changes will be told to account holders rather than edited in quietly.
